Lucy's Blessing

Our family gathered together at my parents home for Lucy's blessing on March 19th.
Lucy Jameson Ridd was blessed by her grandfather, James.

My cute cousin Becki and her adorable little baby, Addy.
It was so nice of her to be a support on this special day, especially coming
with three young children all by herself!

Morgan loves his cousin Lucy. He was completely content
holding her for a majority of the evening.

My mom made a yummy strawberry ice cream dessert with
little hippos on top!

Carly, Chloe and Lucy
{I just love having them a part of our family}

Carson was fascinated by Michael's beard! haha

Malia,
just as cute as always.

Carson's Birthday Party

Carson's birthday party was on Wednesday, March 9th...

....the theme was Dragons
(from the movie, "How to Train Your Dragon")

Jess photoshopped Caron's head into this picture.
Isn't it hilarious? I couldn't stop laughing!

The kids had just started eating when we got there. They had pizza bites and edamame.
All of the children ate the edamame, I was shocked.

Morgan helping Carson put together one of his presents :)

Finally, my parents showed up with the cake and all the children flocked to it.
{When asked what kind of cake Carson wanted for his birthday, he told my mom that he wanted a dragon but it had to look "real"} I thought she did an amazing job. More importantly, Carson loved it!

Jess & Malia's Birthday Celebration

It seems that every time Malia is in Michael's arms, she always falls fast asleep. He has the magic touch. What a wonderful father he will be one day.
(Notice how Carson is snuggling up as well; he always wants to be close to Michael when he's around)

In February, we got together at my parents to celebrate Jess and Malia's birthdays. (They are only four days apart) My mom made the most adorable Tinkerbell cake for Malia. I just loved it; so whimsical! After Malia devoured her cake, we sang to Jess and ate delicious chocolate tarts.

Valentines

On Valentines Day, I came home to these cute heart cookies and Keva Juice gift certificates that my sweet mother had left on our counter.

Ziggy got a Valentine too, from his girlfriend Macie! He was quite excited.

Since Valentines Day was on a Monday this year (and I have night school Mondays), we celebrated the weekend before. Michael made reservations at Tuscany and we enjoyed a romantic dinner out. There is something I just love about Valentines. Maybe its all the candy :) or just the extra amount of love in the air.

January Birthdays

On Sunday, (Jan. 30th) we went up to my parents house to celebrate my dad and Wes' birthday. The second we walked in the door Malia ran to Michael, grasped him around the neck and wouldn't let go. She just loves him.
We ate dinner and had two kinds of cake. My Mom makes my Dad and Wes the same cake every year for their birthdays. My dad likes sponge cake with orange icing and maraschino cherries on top. Wes likes plain old Boston Cream Pie. They both were very yummy! As you can see below, Wes sure enjoyed his. He always puts cake in a bowl and pours milk over it. His bowl, a little exaggerated. All in all it was a fun night talking with my family and playing with the children. {Michael being one of them}

Dinner with Friends

A couple Saturdays ago the husband and I went to dinner with some of our friends. We met them at the Olive Garden and then went to the Jessop's house for games! It was fun to play with Ben and Lindsay's little boy. I cannot believe how time flies and that he's a year already... kinda makes me want a little baby of my own. :) I am so grateful to have such great friends to hang out with; they mean a lot to me.
